- The League to be called Sutton Four Oaks and District Darts League.
- A Management Committee of seven members to be selected to resolve any problems, which may arise during the season.
- Each team to pay a subscription of £60.00 per annum, this includes entry into relative Cup competitions. Payable either in full at 1st delegates meeting or in 2 halves. £30.00 at 1st delegates meeting and £30.00 before commencement of 2nd half of season. 10% discount if paid in full at first meeting.
- No player is eligible to play until a copy of their name, address and signature is in the League Secretary’s’ possession, and a registration card has been issued. Cards issued until half way stage of season, thereafter at Secretary’s discretion. Penalty for playing ineligible persons: £1.00 for every ineligible person played. One leg deducted for every ineligible person played.
- One point deducted from League tally for every match the penalty occurs. Replacement registration cards will cost 50p each. Replacement set of official’s paperwork will cost £5.00
- Any player signing for two teams shall automatically be suspended for twelve months. Transfers allowed, @ £5.00 per player to be paid by new team. Teams allowed to register as many Argus / County / PDC players as they like, but only 3 will
be allowed to play in the same match. If a team is found to play more than 3, then that match shall be forfeited 9 – 0. - The board shall be 5’ 8” high from the floor to the centre, and the toe line or oche shall be 7’ 9 ¼” from the board, measuring horizontally. All venues to have a raised oche of some description (be it temporary or permanent)
- All venues oches to be checked annually.
- All divisions will play seven singles games of 301, double start, double finish, best of three legs, two doubles games of 501, double start, double finish, best of three legs, and one Captains’ and one Secretary’s’ game of 301, double start, double finish, best of one leg. Captains’ and Secretary’s’ games played at home teams’ discretion.
- Teams shall consist of up to eleven players, from which four players may play in both singles and doubles games if required. Order of play to be decided by drawing of Registration cards. Captains have the option to select doubles players at anytime
prior to the commencement of the doubles games. Once selected they must be submitted to opposing Captain who shall again draw cards. No changes allowed once match is underway.In the event that a team is unable to attend a fixture with the full compliment of players allowed, then the registration cards submitted for the draw should be equal to the team with the most available players. (i.e., One team has 7 players and the other team only has 5 players, then 7 cards are submitted for the draw by both teams). This means that the byes are random and no team can dictate the order of play. On the other hand, if both teams only have 6 players available. Then each team should submit 6 cards for the draw. - Team draws for matches to be made by 8.30 p.m. with “open board” available at 8.15p.m. Matches to start no later than 8.45 p.m.
- Any team not represented by 8.45p.m. may forfeit game.
- Result Sheets to be signed by both Captains or delegates, and shall be in the League Secretary’s possession within 48 hours of the match being played. Photographs will be accepted. Please ensure all photo’s are clearly visible.
- Penalty for 1 st late sheet = £1.00 fine. 2 nd late sheet = £2.00 fine. 3 rd late sheet = £3.00 fine. 4 th late sheet = £4.00 fine, etc.
- Match sheets filled in incorrectly will incur £1.00 fine.
- The away team shall throw for the bull first, to decide who throws first in all games.
When players are called up to play, they will be allowed a maximum of 9 darts warm up throw before throwing for the bull.- In Doubles games, player throwing for Bull must throw first.
- The home team shall provide a marker and the away team shall provide a checker for each game. No darts should be taken from the board until both marker and checker agree the score. The score shall only count once darts are retrieved. Should a dart fall out before retrieval, only darts remaining in board shall count.
- The exact number must be obtained, any player scoring more than the amount required with any of their darts, the score shall not count. It is permissible for the marker or checker, if requested, to inform a player the number they require.
However, they must not be told how to get it, i.e. player told 40 required not double 20. - Any team failing to attend a match without giving 48 hours prior notice, and with no justifiable reason, shall be called before the Management Committee, who shall decide upon action to be taken.
- For matches where a team does not attend, non defaulting team should submit a completed match sheet. If game not re-arranged in time non default team will get result. Matches not played in 1st half must be re-arranged before 2nd half commences.
- League Secretary must approve any matches that need to be rearranged.
- The League will run on a points system, 2 points for a win, and 1 point for a draw. At the end of each Season a minimum of 2 teams shall be promoted and a minimum of 2 teams shall be relegated. If there are too many new teams then promotions may vary at Secretary’s discretion.
- Any disputes between players during matches must be settled by the Captains or Secretaries in private. Any disputes between Captains and Secretaries must be referred to the League Secretary.
- Any player not arriving before the end of the singles, and in the absence of a reserve, that game shall be forfeited. Any player not present by 10.00pm will not be allowed to be picked for doubles games.
- Both teams to submit match sheet to League Secretary. All players to sign home sheet only. If any player does not sign a match sheet that game shall be forfeited. Both delegates must sign home & away sheets.
- Any teams playing in cup matches with six or eight players only, in the event of a draw a count back on legs won will decide the winners. If the scores are still tied then a player drawn from a ‘hat’ by each team will play a ‘sudden death’ leg.
- In the event of a team withdrawing from the League during the first half of the season, points awarded to teams they have already played will be deducted from the League table. Should a team withdraw during the second half, only points awarded in the second half will be deducted from the League table.
- At least one delegate shall represent each team to carry out the business of the club at all of the delegates meetings. Nobody will be allowed to represent a team they are not registered for, unless they are a member of the same club or society.
- Penalty for 1 st non-attendance of delegates meeting = five pound fine. 2nd non-attendance = 1 point deducted from league tally, 3rd = 2nd point deducted from league tally, and so on for continual absences.
- Any team owing monies from previous seasons will not be allowed to re-enter the League until all outstanding debts are paid. Fines incurred by any team are the responsibility of all registered members of that team. Should any team withdraw from the league still owing monies to the league, then any member registered for that team will not be allowed to sign for another team until all outstanding monies are paid in full.
- Monthly draw to take place at all delegates meetings. £7.00 payable whether team represented or not. Non-represented teams will be void from draw.
Maximum of £60.00 to be paid out regardless of how many divisions there are.
Anything not covered by these rules will be dealt with by Management Committee.
